They are on a quest to see the majesty of nature on their own terms. Their wheelchair or crutch will not stop them from their goal. They know that their level of desire is the only limitation to success. Determination and hard work may be ahead of them, but their goal is clear and their will is very strong.

How, why and where are the questions you will get answered here. We have the knowledge to help you on your quest. But, if for some reason we don't, we will help you find a solution. Advancements in adaptive equipment happen every year but may be hard to find. We have the resources to help you find what is out there. We also know incredible fabricators who can find a solution to just about any special situation.

We hope you join us. Please share your experience and your adventures. Inspire and enable the next person to realize their dream.

About The Founder

Hi, I'm Tim the founder of Adaptive Trailblazers. I became a paraplegic in 1961 at the ripe old age of 3 years old. In a lot respects I believe my transition was harder on my family than me. I was too young to understand what I lost and what lies ahead. I just wanted to be a kid and have fun. This innocents I believe pushed my sense of wonder and determination to live fully. I was blessed with great parents. They were naturally protective but did not inhibit my quest for adventure. Did I get bruised? Did I get cut up? Yes. Did I break something? Yes. Did I survive and thrive? Absolutely!

Growing up on ranches fueled my love of the great outdoors. With so many grand adventures literally at my doorstep. When I was younger opportunities for a person with a disability were extremely limited. So, if I wanted to do something I had to work it out for myself. In the quest to keep up with my brother and sister I tried to find ways to join them. Sometimes it work and sometimes it did not, but I didn't give up looking for a solution. This determination has helped me throughout my life. It help me not only find ways to live completely, but also help me find a profession when no one seemed to want to give me work.

My story is not unique. The developments that the disabled community now enjoy were enabled by hundreds of people like me who refused to give up on their dreams. I have seen so many great and wondrous things in my travels. I feel it's my obligation to help those who want and need to live a full and rich life but don't know how.

One of my favorite quotes was by Norman Vaughan, he was a member of Admiral Byrd's 1928 expedition to the South Pole. He said, "Dream big and dare to fail". Please don't give up on your dreams. The only time we fail is when we don't try. Dream big with me!
